Regulator Logistics — Trailer Rental Agreement

This agreement is between Regulator Logistics ("Owner") and the renter identified below ("Renter").

  • Rental Period: Renter agrees to return the trailer by the specified return date. Late returns incur $50/day.
  • Condition: Photos will be taken at pickup and return. Both sets are hashed and stored on the Polygon blockchain for tamper-proof documentation.
  • Damage: Renter is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear. Claims are reviewed with photo evidence. Disputes are resolved by a 3-person jury.
  • Deposit: A $50 USDC deposit is held in a smart contract escrow. It auto-refunds 48 hours after return if no damage is reported.
  • Towing: Renter is responsible for proper hitch, safety chains, and lighting. Trailers must not exceed rated capacity.
  • Insurance: Renter's auto insurance must cover trailer towing. Owner carries liability insurance on fleet.
  • Prohibited Use: No illegal loads, no off-road use unless approved, no subletting without written consent.

This agreement is timestamped on the Polygon blockchain upon signing.
